First off, let me say that there are a ton of great vegan blogs already, which makes me really happy, seeing how many vegans are out there and reading about all the awesome things they’re cooking up. But it seems like most vegan blogs focus mainly on recipes. And this makes perfect sense, since veganism is a choice that affects diet the most on a day-to-day basis, and vegans love yummy things to eat as much as anyone.
This is not one of those blogs. Over to the right you can find links to some of my favorite vegan blogs that focus on healthier food and recipes if that’s what you’re looking for.
There will occasionally be recipes here, but really this blog is going to be about living a healthy vegan lifestyle. So I’m planning to write about food choices, exercise, and anything else that pops into my head as being relevant.
Please notice that the title of this blog is not “skinny as a rail vegan” because that’s not the point – the point is to be vegan and proud of it but also to be a healthy one. Being vegan or vegetarian isn’t an automatic pass to being in great health and great shape (as I found out firsthand) – although it certainly can help. I’m hoping this blog will help, too.
